Opening Soon!
After a months of sweat equity The Duck Haus at Lotawana Brewing is about to open!
The Duck Haus features a German-American scratch kitchen where Old World tradition meets Southern comfort. Every dish starts from scratch and ends with something meant to be shared—because the best meals happen around a table, not in a rush.
Our menu blends hearty, traditional German favorites with cozy Southern classics, creating craveable, conversation-starting food that’s perfect for grazing. Think hot charcuterie boards loaded with haus sausages, cheeses, warm pretzels, roasted seasonal veggies, and rich, savory bites you can pick, pass, and pile onto your plate.
Whether you’re here for a full meal or just to linger over shareables with friends,
The Duck Haus is built for slow nights, good stories, and food that brings people together. Come hungry, stay awhile, and graze your way through comfort—one warm, delicious bite at a time.
One of the best parts, The Duck Haus calls back to the era of Ernest Hemmingway, the era of early Lotawana and where it all started with low lighting, rock fireplaces, good stories shared in old duck hunting cabins. Featuring Bourbon, Rum, Tequilla and Cigars from around the world, curated pours from iconic distilleries and hidden-gem producers, paired with thoughtfully balanced cocktails made with haus infusions, fresh citrus, and subtle smoke, the perfect spot to unwind, connect, and sip something memorable.

Brewing up Something Special
Craft Beer comes with a little bit of ingenuity, attention to detail, and lots of R&D. Along the road you find what you like, and what you don’t, and this has honestly been some of the best part. A few years back we started our venture in brewing during a Super Bowl Sunday brewing out of a bucket; feeling pretty good about the results we dove right in.
How hard could this be, right? Turns out there’s a lot that goes into actually brewing up something special, so we started by lots and lots of R&D, going to local breweries indulging in the delights they had to offer and guiding our ship accordingly. One thing we new for sure was that we liked traditional style ales and lagers, so we plotted a course to perfect a simple line up of flagship beers with a variety of color, body, with a traditional taste. So for the next few years we brewed and then brewed some more slowly perfecting our craft one beer at a time. This year we will proudly open our flagship location in our home town of Lake Lotawana, this is truly a story of good friends, good beers, and making shit happen!
